Saad K’idilyé Moccasin Making Course

March 13 @ 8:00 am - April 30 @ 5:00 pm

Free

The Diné community in Albuquerque does not have local resources when it comes to individuals that make traditional Diné moccasins. This course will train and teach community members to make moccasins who will then be able to provide this resource to our community. SK will provide all materials and the course is FREE.

Saad K’idilyé is looking for 10 committed and motivated community members to register for our traditional Diné moccasin making course that will start on January 29, 2022 and run for 12 consecutive weekends. The class will take place every Saturday from 8am to 5pm and will end on April 16, 2022.

We will be accepting the first 10 community members to register to participate in this opportunity provided by Saad K’idilyé. Those that do not show up on the first day of class or have inconsistent attendance during the first month will be replaced by those who have registered and are on the waiting list.

Brent Toadlena from Tsaile, AZ will be our instructor. If you have any questions you can email Saad K’idilye at info@saadkidilye.org.

Covid safe protocols will be followed: temperature will be taken, face masks will be required and PPE items will be available for participants. Ahehee’.
